My grandmother always had products from the health food store when I was in my teens. This had a big impact on me. One being she died of colon cancer in her 70’s. The other being that I didn’t want the same outcome. I was looking for a better way to be healthy and not personally face cancer. My parents’ health was always poor with constant visits to doctors and hospitals with no positive outcomes. I started reading alternative health books and buying supplements.

 

However, I began to accumulate lots of different supplements over the years. Shelves

and shelves of different supplements, each with their different, but not quite fulfilled promise. In an effort to discover more, I began attending the local chapter of Weston A. Price Foundation monthly meetings. There I gained a clear understanding of how we got to our modern food system and learned of alternative food choices. I also met Jani Thomas, an RN and accomplished acupuncturist and homeopath who had the same passion as me about nutrition.

 

It wasn’t till I met Jani that I was introduced to supplements and minerals, and homeopathics that I had never heard of before. I began to understand how supplementation should work and that just going on my own research and buying based on fads or trends was not helpful or could be detrimental in some cases. She asked if I would manage her clinic and I asked if I could make the professional-grade, proven supplements available to people like me who want natural alternatives that not only work but affordable.

 

Our collaboration was the genesis of this website.
